Be part of the Night Air's ABC Radio National Sunday night broadcast
direct from the Newcastle Electrofringe Festival<http://www.electrofringe.org/>

9:05pm to 10pm, 1st October 2006

Deadline: Friday 22nd August

This major Electrofringe event will go *live to air* at the festival. We're
looking for performers and sound artists to perform remixes of any or all of
the following:

*>> *festival elements (poetry slams, rocket workshops, musical performances
or TiN Radio <http://www.tin.org.au/> broadcasts etc.)

*>> *material drawn from Radio National
podcasts<http://www.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/>

*>> *your own sounds, text or music

You'll be performing in front of a live audience.

To give everyone a go we're looking at no more than five minutes per
contribution.

The Electrofringe Festival is held every year in Newcastle over the October
long weekend. This holiday commemorates the Australian union movement's
campaign for the eight hour day <http://www.8hourday.org.au/> and shorter
working hours. Your contribution could address work-related themes such as
the daily choices we make between money and time, work and home. Workplace
issues have been covered heavily in the media in recent months so source
material is abundant, for instance, if you're looking for extra material to
re-work we can provide the complete audio from an ABC Radio National
