A journalist recently asked Google CEO Eric Schmidt what he thought
about "Web 3.0"  (Schmidt pointed out that all the x.0s are marketing
terms) and he said that if there was a future for webapps it's that
they will be distributed virally through social networks. I think it's
interesting you can already see that going on with the facebook
applications which come from third parties, rather than facebook
