Hi geert and all,
I was there, and plan to write something on my blog shortly
(homecookedtheory.com) especially because it was so great to be at a new
media conference that started by talking about a) gender and b) work.
Combined! Hallelulia.
The international composition of the conference - with a number of
keynotes from Asian neighbours, plus some most excellent EU speakers
such as Leapolina Fortunati and other younger scholars - plus the
combination of academic, industry, and policy perspectives was one of
the most rewarding conference experiences I've had. My head still hurts
from all the learning.
One of the world's most reliable conference bloggers, A Bruns was there
taking notes which I reckon he'll upload soon. But the big joke of the
conference was that the wireless network wouldn't let us access external
sites at a mobile media conference, chuckle chuckle.
